I know you guys will be surprised but I am looking to close my Bet365 account completely, and I want to delete all data they keep on me. Is this possible?
I really can't explain the reasons behind my decision, but I would like to have that account closed completely. After searching in their website I couldn't find any option or button to completely close my account. So I guess the only option left is contact them and ask them to do it manually for me. But I worry, If I contact them they might scrutinise my style of play and techniques and this is something I would like to avoid.
Before anyone starts commenting about fixed games, manipulated lines or anything else, I must tell you my account is legit and all action within the account is also legit 100%. There is nothing dubious there, unless someone would consider smart betting as dubious. No 3rd parties are involved and I have never exchanged any funds with anyone via Skrill, Neteller or a bank.
I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you very much.

Re: How to close Bet365 account
I don't believe that any bookmaker will delete any information about you from their system.
Otherwise all those players who have been limited would just come back using the same identity and start again with a fresh unlimited account.

How will you verify that they have deleted your data ? I think thats impossible. Data records is one of the biggest debates in the world right now exactly for this reason.

Re: How to close Bet365 account
Bookmakers are required by AML directives (like banks, ewallets) to keep your information (personal info, deposits , deposit methods, bets placed, ip addresses etc.) for 5 or 6 years. After that period you can submit a request to them and they are obliged to delete you're data by GDPR law.
I am talking about EU here.

Maybe you should think to mess up your bet365 acc a little bit,you can always change your address and some other things on acc,so if you ll not use it any more, change all data what is possible so they ll not have it accurate.

Re: How to close Bet365 account
Hello,
You can use your right to be forgotten through GDPR framework. Of course that means you have to contact with them via e-mail.
Also, bear in mind that the holder of your personal details cannot delete them (or better has the right to withold them) for about three years (or smth along this lines)
So imeediate deletion is not an option, according to legislation that is.
My 50cents .

Re: How to close Bet365 account
I have no idea about Bet365, but I can only suppose that all companies have to follow the same regulation.
That said, I believe bookmakers are keeping data for 5 years and then they delete it unless there is any request from an authority.
For their affiliates, I believe they keep data for 10 years.

To delete your account, just write to bet365 support, they will ask for confirmation and it will be done. Now, regarding to your personal data, when I asked them to close my account they said "we hold our customer data for at least one year, after that, it will be deleted from our systems".

Re: How to close Bet365 account
I would advise not to close your account in Bet365.
Back in the days I closed mine because I didn't want them to keep my data. But later some value betting projects became available to me, and I needed my Bet365 account badly. They refused to re-open it.

Very well said. I would extend this advise to all bookmakers. Dont close any account, because you never know when the next trick appears and you will need them. I am active in sports betting but recently I found out about a casino bot that would help finish with tool overs very soon. I wouldn't clear that bonus with a closed account.B_arber wrote: I would advise not to close your account in Bet365.

Do not close it. You never know when it comes useful again.

Every bookmaker must be treated differently. Different bookmakers have different rules and different approaches.
I would agree, not to close an account with bookmaker A, but I would strongly advise everyone to close his account with bookmaker B.
Recently, I came across a very well known and popular bookmaker who allows clients to close their accounts. The bookmaker deletes all data and info after 1 year. The client is free to open again a new account legally. I was tipped by a member about this bookmaker and that is why I will not disclose the name. You definitely need to read even the last paragraph and the last asterisk of every bookmaker's T&Cs.
Would you keep a limited account there open? What for?

A blanket advise ''Do not close it'' is not wise IMO.Goojybooboo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:52 amEven if your account is limited.

Could you name this bookmaker? There in another thread about William Hill, so I am wondering if the same applies to Bet365arbusers wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 9:15 amRecently, I came across a very well known and popular bookmaker who allows clients to close their accounts. Re: How to close Bet365 account
Take my advise to never close your Bet365 account, no matter what limitations you suffer. Treat any Bet365 account as an asset.
