A message from my agent:
"SBO have informed us that specific accounts will be ‘marked’, without prior notice, at the sole discretion of their Risk Team. In extreme cases this can result in the standard odds being reduced by half e.g. 1.84 reduced to 1.42."
I thought it was a technical error, I saw odds very low and now I have the answer.
Who else?

Get out of that book, the end is nigh when books start voiding bets and imposing silly limits and cheat on their odds.

Good advise...I've just begun to reduce my balance and use it just for minor sports (few dozen of euros) but still using agents who work with Sbobet. I'm thinking about it...

Re: My SBObet's max limit suddenly been reduced.
Below is the mail I received from mine agent. (Premium Tradings)
Dear Valued customer,
We are coming with a notification regarding some working policies the sportsbooks Maxbet and SBObet enforced to their accounts. For transparent and loyal cooperation, we feel obliged to share it with you which may have some interruptions with your experience in our Goal tool. The software provider itself as well as PremiumTradings has no power to influence the betting policies the sportsbooks enforced.
Maxbet and SBObet have both recently introduced a series of measures targeted at improving their risk management capabilities.
In some cases, these changes have resulted in customers experiencing significantly reduced bet placement success rates and/or significantly worse prices appearing on the bet slip. SBO have informed that in extreme cases this can result in the standard odds being reduced by half e.g. 1.84 reduced to 1.42. Maxbet prices are displaying on the bet slip as normal but on placement they frequently return the message “We are updating odds, please try again later.” This often results in the odds being reduced despite the bet not being placed.
The software provider is aware of those above and they try to mitigate the impact on customers whilst continuing to comply with the rules promulgated by the Bookmakers.
So the question is. Is the problem more generall and to other agents?

Re: My SBObet's max limit suddenly been reduced.
Situation with sbo is getting really funny.
Not only they slashed odds to half for many leagues, they now accepting only 5 euros from your stake and they adjust odds lol. Basically they need your bet to correct their odds haha

hope they close soon

Re: My SBObet's max limit suddenly been reduced.
It is obvious that SBObet is no longer able to handle the sharp action it was receiving for some years now.
SBObet received a lot of sharp action coming from Agents and mollybet style platforms. At the same time, it lost the pool of square bettors due to several national legislation that had to be respected.
Obviously, this sharp action will be channeled to other bookmakers of the same style. I can only hope that SBObet is not the first collapsing card of the tower. Because if it is...

I have just removed IBC and SBO temporarily (at least) - am I paranoid?
I've read about many weird voids from SBO, have anyone had these with IBC?

So far, the only absurd voids have been from Sbobet. Furthermore, they must have something wrong on their systems...yesterday Atletico MG-Internacional some good surebets on correct score but min and max stake 1-1.

As you say this is the result of restrictive governments banning them, so they are left with the sharp players who need to bet for a living and will therefore bother to use agents or find a way to bet with Pinny.
Your regular customer who bets for enjoyment and has no clue about odds/overround etc will obviously not do this, rather he will either not bother betting or go with a book still legally operating in his country.
Without mug punters even the best run sportsbook will find it nigh on impossible to make a profit.
Re: My SBObet's max limit suddenly been reduced.
Well pinnacle have already massively cut its limits on all but the biggest sports/leagues a couple of years back, and halved this further via agent accounts.Shawn2k wrote: I have just removed IBC and SBO temporarily (at least) - am I paranoid?

All I m saying is that more sharp action will be channeled to Pinnacle. Let's hope they can take this burden.neopas wrote:What do you mean with this boss?arbusers wrote: Obviously, this sharp action will be channeled to other bookmakers of the same style.
