So losing £1.37 per day triggers an assessment?

We have seen UK bookmakers limiting accounts even before bet #1. Fact.
Now they ask for a £1.37 as an excuse to stop those that escaped from big data.

Where someone cry here? People are just pissed. You could wipe yourself with any "petition", like they would care. Im amazed how people believe that any kind of "petitions" would change anything. This is a business worth millions and if they want to kick out any kind of sharp players they will and you cant do anything to stop them.

This is a mentality of tennagers - believing that with your stick you will beat the dragon up.

I am not suffering any illusion and I know every politician with no exception will fear the popular vote.
Of course, 10.000 or 100.000 signees is not a big number when the opposite interests represent billions of pounds.
It is time for the smart bettors to become loud.

I can't stop my self from posting the map of support of the petition.
I can only suppose it shows where UK smart bettors are located.

I don't trust this map. Maybe signees forgot to shut their VPN down. If they were signing without it maybe Tirana and Bucharest would be on top.

They were calling it ''Source of Wealth'', not they will call it "affordability checks" makes no difference to me. This is not about protecting the underage, or vulnerable people. This is to protect the bookmaker from the winners and provide a layer of legality to their dubious actions.

There is an online petition. At 10,000 signatures, the government will respond to this petition. At 100,000 signatures, this petition will be considered for debate in Parliament. Petition ends November 9th 2023, but sign it NOW, developments will be irreversible within summer.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/637571

The petition made it to 100.000 signatures. Now what? Let's see UK's commitment to Democracy.

On another level, have recently been invited for a live video chat verification with a shop. Not UK. Legal team was cc'ed. Never had this before.

What do you mean ''legal team was cc'ed''? Was they too in the video chat?

The call didn't happen yet. I am not sure whether this could be a scam, though it does not look like one. It sounded more official because the legal teams email address (legal@bettingshop.country) was in cc.

Operating out of London I can tell you the prevailing sentiment in the UK is similar to that of the rest of the West. Politicians have overdosed so much on protecting the vulnerable that they can't see nuance. They aren't aware that the smart betting community exists. This petition is a start but considering that the debate will only be 'considered' at 100,000 votes makes me think we need to attack the problem from other angles as well. I'm not sure what those angles are yet but I imagine there is enough brainpower in this forum to come up with some viable solutions.

A recent report from an insider says that almost 1 million profiles are for sale in the UK. This is 1.5% of the total population. With the influx of legal and illegal refugees the number will go even higher. On the other hand, I believe these profiles are already sold and used in the UK from various syndicates and all types of abusers.
