Frictionless BS comes with additional costs that small bookmakers will not be able to pay. This is an extra bonus for the bigger guys.
As for JAbet, it is a pity to see them go. They have been excellent for tennis, a gem as you say. They were available from Sportmarket for some time, but obviously this is the end.

A little gem of a bookmaker than I believe was only available in the UK closed down - Jabet. Their limits were small but still very useful at times and they did not close accounts.

Now after eight years we have made the difficult decision to close the JAbet.com website and stop trading. The main reasons are;

Regulatory changes : our customers do not fit the mould of what the UK Gambling Commission expect and excessive financial checks will be needed to satisfy upcoming regulations.
The costs of receiving the official feeds from the tennis bodies has increased dramatically squeezing our profit margins.

I'm very sorry for their disappearance.
Their margins and fees weren't ideal at all, but they provided extra liquidity when needed. In the past, they also provided markets and covered lower-ranked exotic tournaments along with a few classic Asian powerhouses like IBC etc., while Pinnacle was absent there.
I hope JAbet comes again from another jurisdiction soon.

It is rumoured by sources who are usually reliable, the UK government is about to announce increased thresholds for so-called affordability checks in the days to come. The new thresholds will be set at £5,000 per month and £25,000 per year.

The damage caused in the gambling sector is immense, with horse races being the biggest victim. UK bookmakers are using affordability checks as another excuse not to pay or limit winners. More action should be taken to protect smart bettors from rogue operators. We do not see that currently.
