Arbusers

Most of us on this forum know that you can you can face many different problems when you are using brokers/agents to gain access to betfair and/or pinnacle. Some of those problems we see on multiple threads in the forum like funds being confiscated, accounts temporarily or permanently suspended etc., due to some shady activity on the user's side usually - fund passing, manipulating markets, betting on events that are under investigation and so on.

Recently an user created a thread called BrokerStorm and KingFair account closed from €300 to €4100 It is the most recent example of someone being suspended for making a suspicious bet/trade on a white label exchange. We tried to help him (me and James Ravazzolo) by finding out what the odds were on Betfair at the time when his money got matched, and I believe we succeeded but the answer made no sense. He got matched at odds that were not available according to betfair's own data (we do not know how accurate it is). I also have had my share of problems in the past and when something like that happens you just wish you can prove that you did nothing wrong, but you really cannot. Most of the time you can be accused of something and you have nothing to defend yourself with...

And this is why recently I have started recording my screen (I assume most of you work on PC, not from your phones) for this exact reason. So one day, and I hope this day never comes, if you get accused of something like placing a suspicious bet, fund passing or whatever, you can show the video of you placing the bet and it will show that the market is perfectly normal, you are not taking some strange out of line with the market odds. Of course, you should always compare the Orbit/Piwi exchange odds with the Pinnacle odds at the time of you placing the bet so everything is clear enough. For example, I always have at least 2 tabs opened with Orbit and Sportmarket PRO (Mollybet) and I just click between the two so the screen can show the market for the same event on both platforms. I am using OBS software, its free and easy to use. I leave it recording all the time when I am on my PC and then when I have 20-30 minutes free time I just use a Video cutting software to extract just the parts with me placing the bets, this way you don't waste space on your hard drive. Then I put the videos in separate folders with dates on them.

When you are long enough in this business you face all kinds of issues and accusations. I think it is better if you have a problem one day to have something more to defend yourself with than just your words. You will have more material for mr Arbuser here to help you with your problem or at least something to go public with on this or other forums and present your case. It may sounds like too much unnecessary work to you, and thats ok. Everyone can decide for themselves. I would be happy if someone can share something better. Thanks. Perfect advice for the rookies in that business. That's the strength of the Forum - the exchange of useful opinions and the sharing of everyone's experience. That will boost everyone's Mind in their careers.

I did it in the past for a some months. It didn't serve me at all, just to lose time, and have hundreds of GB to delete.

for those who say it's a waste of time/effort, the one time you need it makes it worthwhile. It needs to be automated with a batch file or python script , with automatic deletion taking place due to the huge hard drive usage. I wish I could say "I do as I say", i tried it a few weeks ago and do see the value but need to work on the automation aspect. Its not a pressing need for my situation (ie to handle disputes), but has another potentially important purpose.

But anyone playing blackjack or other fast paced game really should be recording at all times. There's little sympathy on other casino/sports forums for disputes that have no proof as to what the poster is claiming. All easily proven with video evidence if it existed.

To my surprise, the main reason I want video is to analyze in play odds, not for disputes. I am very pleased with Orbit , never had a dispute that suggested they (or Asian Connect) had any ulterior reason for what happened. A couple voided wins were voided due to Betfair not registering the 'OFF' for a race properly. Other than that, nothing suspicious going on - 'delayed' bet confirmations have gone my way more often than against me, so I cant complain
