It's not about what people earn in my country, it's about how much I earned from arbing and how much I earn now
I had a huge drop in my revenue

Re: Real stat€ of Arbing
I think it depends on how much time a person spends on it. And what are "the additional costs", in my case these costs keep growing.
If you can make that much in 10 hours a week, great. But when you work so much every day, then it's really worth considering whether it makes sense. A capable person earns more anywhere in the EU. It is nonsense to point to the salaries of the less capable and say that 2000 is great.

Re: Real stat€ of Arbing
Where I live 2000 euro salary is great. Doesnt even matter, in EU most of people who earn decent money need to work a lot of hours or it is phisically demanding work. So being me I wouldnt even bother to wake up 6-7 am every morning, getting to work, sweating my ass to be back as 5 pm for - lets say - 3000 euro if I can make 2000 from my bench waking up what time I want and closing my PC when I want. Would gladly spend 10 hrs a day arbing instead of spending same time in a warehouse even for 1/3 more. Money isnt most important stuff. Not at my age anymore. Not talking about possibility of inventing new way of milking bookies.Trevorr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 8:28 amI think it depends on how much time a person spends on it. yes I got this, I agree that it sucks going from almost to 10k to around 2k. I was just trying to say you must lower your expectations. You cant make 10k today without having multiple accounts and even then , as you said, the bookies are getting smarter and limiting opportunities. To be honest I would do the same in their place.

You can also run a business and have a completely different income if things go well.
If you're young, I really wouldn't recommend relying on arbing.
Re: Real stat€ of Arbing
But there are many more factors here. You have some security in your normal job. They can't fire you right away, your wages are rising, you have pension contributions. In the future, you have prospects for a better position if you have some education, etc. But arbing is already uncertain and where will it be in 5-10 years?Grant wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:05 amWhere I live 2000 euro salary is great. you dont have security in your normal job. working 9-5 sucks. they can fire you, company can go bankrupt etc.Trevorr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:18 amGrant wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:05 amWhere I live 2000 euro salary is great. Working 9-5 is great. You simply have some work time and then you have time off, you have time for friends. I've always hated this about arbing, you never have time for weekends, evenings.

Re: Real stat€ of Arbing
That's right, everyone has to consider their future and arrange themselves accordingly. I went to arbing full-time, because at that time I earned 10-20 times the average salary here. And that kind of money is worth the time and limitations. But if you're barely making an average wage, it's probably worth reconsidering. This career choice has many disadvantages (social status, no pensions, working hours...) and to make it worth it, you simply have to earn a lot.

I also earn around 2000 on average. But some months I don't work at all. I work a fraction of the timeI used to.

Re: Real stat€ of Arbing
Why in some months you don't work at all?
If for ex. you don't work in June, you live with the profits you made in May?
