A goal, red card, penalty etc change the odds rapidly so it's impossible to specify how long a trade would last.

It varies a lot.Trades might last for a minute or an hour.Tocko wrote: @AUAvi how long does it take to close trade on footbal?

Re: Trading sports in an exchange
been having a go at trading, im experienced in stock trading but not sport trading. My strategy so far has been to back most favourites the night before when the odds are decent value on oddschecker and there is little resistance on the lower back sides or a lot of resistance on the lay side and cashing out the next day nearer the race, ive found this ok up to now but cant see it being a very good strategy long term, any feedback welcome, cheers.

Re: Trading sports in an exchange
I've had some success trading on Smarkets. I find markets with no liquidity and put in back orders to match Betfair. Often the orders will get accepted and once the game is a bit closer to kick off and the liquidity has come in I can easily green up. It's only chump change but once I work out how to automate it, might be good
