Re: Value results/stats after a year!
There is also one thing that should be taken in consideration, are we talking about oranges or apples?
Some of you talk about ROI and some are calculating yield they are different.
There is good explanation about the issue in soccerwidows site where I borrowed the example below:
Yield = PL(profit/loss)/Capital employed
A bettor places 38 bets with stakes of 20 units each. The total amount staked [Capital Employed] is 760 units (38 x 20). 33 of the bets win and 5 of the bets lose; the net result [Profit] is a bank growth of 65 units
65/760 = 0.855 = 8.55%
ROI = PL(profit/loss/Investment
Returning to our previous illustration, 38 bets were placed, each with a stake of 20 units (760 units staked in total). 5 bets lost but the overall bank growth was 65 units. Let’s assume the starting bank [investment] was 200 units.
65/200 = 0.325 = 32.5%
So please keep these in mind when talking about yield vs. ROI. As far as I can see you are talking about yield correct?

white32 wrote:First of all, 850 bets it is a very small distance. You will see your true results after 2000-3000 bets at least. But I did not talk about total results and I did not say nothing againt ROI 7% in total. Read carefully.Please don't measure other people by one's own yard-stick. I just started my adventure with valuebets. From 1st of March till 20th I placed 850 valuebets with expected ROI > 5%. My results is 10% ROI so even more than i expected.
Valuebetting is not my only betting activity so I believe 200 valuebets per day is absolutely possible on Saturday amd other busies day.
To find 200 value bets with roi 7% per day is impossible. Even 100 is not real. I do measure by myself as everyone does, I work and track value betting everyday for a long time.
Thanks for teaching. I recomend you to open any alert service and count value bets: softs on the one, sharp on the other. 7% roi is equal to 2% arb in average. Come on, show me 200 arbs 2% per day with sharps, I wanna see that. You can use even 50 softbooks Dont forget that we cant put money on the same result many times (tip: you can see 10 arbs, but it will give you just one value bet)Open a few alert services, then add about 15 different soft bookies and see for yourself. I'm not saying it's ok for value bets but arbing with limited stakes is possible if you put in the effort and are willing to work for a salary. Full time job.
But if the results are not what I am saying....
Depending on markets Pinny can take even 4-5%. So go on betting, I think after 5000 bets you will see something around 4%.white32 wrote: [quote]Total Pinny bets placed so far: 3204. Total loss % = 7.9%. No idea which value they had.

You are right, they are...But not by finding value bets, by reading your posts!!!white32 wrote: I am a value bettor as well for more than a year. I could say that this data is just a fantasy. There is no way to place 3k-4k-5k value bets with ROI 7% per month. First of all, to place even a 1.5k value bets per month you have to make 50 value bets per day, its a lot! You will be very tired if you work like that every day. Your eyes will be deadly bloody! I know what i m talking about. And the second reason is just there are not so many big odds movements to give you a 7% roi. In the bEst way you will get 20-30 movements with such a big ROI. You can place 50 value bets per day, but the roi will be 3-4%. Considering it all, 1500 value bets per month is the maximum or ideal amount with ideal conditions. An author says that he places 4000...
So what is the point of your fantasy man?

Re: Value results/stats after a year!
2000-3000 are quite true but could be fair to see 5000 if it is very important for you.
My eyes are bloody when I see someone says he can place 4000 7% value bets per month
I think some softbooks do not have such a big turnover

I tried 15 bookmakers during this year... I now use only 8-9...Those are the results of 3-4 persons(October - February) with the same exact bets settings!
Period March - September is experimental stage, I could say!
