So you want to be a Arbitrage Trader, huh? Well, as long as you know there's no free money, that's okay. People see surebet/arbitrage betting as a "Free money" or easy money activity but it's a tough work actually. There's no free lunch, there's no free money.
Arbitrage is never risk-free. There's always a risk. Will you get paid? Bookie may close your account. Bookie may void your bet even if it's not a palp error.
Another question mark for a newbie trader is, how much money I need in starting?
At least 10k if you ask me. Some people may say 1000$ is okay for beginning, but I strongly disagree, why?
Answer is easy. You need to keep funds at many, many books! And what if one of your accounts dropped to zero? You have to reload it. Sure, E-Wallets are handy but still, sometimes withdrawals may take some time. So 1,000$ bankroll is not even close to a serious capital. Even 10k is a low capital but that's ok for beginning. Make sure you reinvest your profits.
Reinvesting your profits is the key. You can accumulate more money with a 50k bankroll then a 10k bankroll.
I wish you good luck and success in your arbitrage betting.
Take care,
Yngwie

I agree that more money is better than less money, but not everybody has USD 10.000 to start. If you only have USD 1.000, you still can do it. Your profit will be low, but that's better that never trying. At least to have some fun.
As I said in other posts, I started with USD 200 or so :-), just because I didn't want to risk anymore. And It worked.

Limits depend on many things, but sooner or later they will come (in general sooner).
What I say to people with very little budget (assume USD 1.000) who do not have the chance to have more than that in a reasonable time-frame (let's say 1 year) is not to be afraid to try. It may not be the best move, but it's not mandatory to start with 10.000. If you want to be successful in the long long term, it would make not big difference if you won usd 1.000, usd 10.000 or USD 25.000 in the first months. But if you want to maximize your profit from the beginning, put everything you can afford. People have different risk appetite and should invest the amount they comfortable with.

Sure, you can even start with 500$ but it would be a real headache to manage accounts. Many newbies don't realize they need many, many sportsbook accounts and they need to keep a reasonable amount in each book. Let's say you use 10 books, even if you keep 500€ on each, it makes 5000€.ppintaluba wrote: I agree that more money is better than less money, but not everybody has USD 10.000 to start. I was nearly broke and started with 3k EUR, that included 700 EUR of a big bottle full of coins ... now, 16 month later without butt-kissing office, I'm a free man and my bankroll is about 48k ... hope it will go on for at least another 16 month.

You shouldn't forget to mention that you developed your own betting-software for getting that profit!bookielover wrote: I was nearly broke and started with 3k EUR, that included 700 EUR of a big bottle full of coins ... now, 16 month later without butt-kissing office, I'm a free man and my bankroll is about 48k ... hope it will go on for at least another 16 month.

I dont believe subscription cost is a serious issue if you have a good bankroll.
If the alert service suits your needs, at the end of the month 15 or 150 to pay the subscription wont make a difference.

Agreed %100. If you have a serious bankroll, subscribtion fee is nothing. You can even make 1-month subscription fee by 4-5 arbs.Thordin wrote: I dont believe subscription cost is a serious issue if you have a good bankroll.

Why you move your money to Expekt? How you arb with them? They manually accept bets ...lot of times just half bet was accepted....and they bet limit isn't so good(in my case don't know for others)MaxShalamar wrote: Posted this in another thread but thought it would be more useful here - apologies if you read this twice
Regarding withdrawing from a bookie - DON'T - you will eventually be banned or limited by them all if you withdraw and that restricts your income with less arbing opportunities
The key to Arbing IMO is money management - moving the money from a bookie where you have a large balance into one with a smaller one - In the last week I've moved around £300 from Victor into Expekt by using arbs that are around 7.5 with Victor and 1.35 with Expekt - then doing the same between Expekt and Marathon or Pinnacle (and obviously making a profit 99% of the time too)
All the while moving money from all the accounts into Betfair using the same method when the opportunity arises and that is where I withdraw from with no chance of being banned
The result is that you do not have too large a profit (another flag) in any one account and you safely take any profit from your Betfair account
