Betcoin.ag is trying to scam me of my 7,7k USD balance (resolved)

Sat Jun 17, 2023 4:33 pm

Hello,

I would like to share my experience regarding Betcoin.ag.
I made a deposit in the past week of 0.2036 BTC (around 5,4k USD).
I placed a few bets on major tennis markets and was able to run up the balance to 0.29187 BTC (around 7,7k USD).
As a consequence, I wanted to withdraw my balance.

After I had submitted my withdrawal request, I was informed earlier today that they want further KYC information from me.
I have provided them with my driving license and a bank statement to verify my identity.

Couple of hours ago I received the information that my account is suspended and I should contact them for further details.
I have done that and so far did not receive any reply.
They are currently holding my balance of 0.29187 BTC (7,7k USD) and have not been able yet to provide me any reason why they do no process my withdrawal.
I have read carefully through their ToC before signing up.

I am therefore asking Arbusers if there is any chance that they can support me here.
Keeping you guys updated on how this continues, major red flag from my side here.

Upon checking with their license provider, their license has been suspended.
Stay far away from this betting site.

It may be because it is your first withdrawal. I had to deal with my first withdrawal for a few days and they finally sent me my money. I continued to use their site.

I have several deposits and withdrawals there (max 1k$ at a time). Looking at all the time, I'm at a loss of around $1.5k. There doesn't seem to be a reason why they shouldn't pay.

I have no idea how they treat users who have made a profit. but they have to give your money after fulfilling their paperwork demands. the law requires it.

I don't think they will avoid paying because they are a well-established site. Things are moving slowly there. If you share the payment result here, we can be cautious accordingly.

Not the best crypto bookie to deal with.
There are a lot better choices out there.

I have informed them that I will stay away from involving a third party mediator for now.
I will wait for their resolution offer within the next seven business days and keep you guys updated.

Why you reject 3rd party mediator? It doesn't sound good when a bookie accepts 3rd party mediators and the user denies it.

Also, what are you being accused? Use of scanning service or the use of bot?

You can always use the services of a lawyer btw, be prepared for fees around 25-30% of the disputed amount.

It is important to know if betcoin.ag holds active cuaracao license though or not.

I have a similar problem with this bookmaker, just over 1 k usd are stuck there, this happened just after requesting the first withdrawal, I sent the documents and then they blocked my account without giving any further explanation. I have no more hope.

I got my initial deposit back a few hours ago.

Everyone can make up his own mind, but these are facts regarding this case:

- Betcoin.ag has failed to prove that I have violated their Terms of Service
- Betcoin.ag has failed to prove to me and other people asking, that they are currently holding an active license
- Betcoin.ag has been very generous with me by returning my initial deposit, in case I should have violated their Terms of Service (I will repeat myself, I have not)

Be very careful who you play with.

So I understand that your total loss is 2.4K USD, right?
Thank you for bringing your case at our attention.

As said, if Betcoin.ag really thinks I have violated their Terms of Service, the refund of my deposit is surely an offer they would not have had to do.
@Arbusers: As I have accepted that offer by Betcoin.ag, please put a resolved in the name of the thread and close it.
Thank you.

We do not close threads of this type in order to protect members from possible blackmails coming from bookmakers. Even though your problem is partially resolved, we added ''resolved'' at the title of the thread according to your request.

Tennislove95 wanted the thread closed because he was using a bot against their rules. His deposit was returned.

He was accused for use of bot from betcoin.ag representative at bitcointalk, no proofs shown though.
