I was looking around for information about betting shops in Europe that offers offline betting, but could mainly find online lists.
I was wondering if more could benefit from sharing their bookies in their countries that offers offline bets and any relevant information. Let’s see.
Let me start:
Denmark
- Danskespil (the local bookie)
- Cashpoint (a lot of casino houses around copenhagen)
- We had both Tipwin and Bet25 but those are very few and I’m not sure if they still are around.
Relevant information
By next month (October) it is by law mandatory to place your bets offline with Spil-ID which basically means that you cannot play anymore anywhere without showing your identity (so limits offline as well as online now)
I do not know how this is gonna effect tourist who wants to place sports bets. Casino is of course still posible without Spil-ID.

Re: Betting shops - Europe
I find it very difficult that someone would reveal his edge that easy. In reality you are asking ''him'' to hand his food openly to others. Maybe you should make very specific questions and then see what answers you could get. Maybe a process of elimination is needed where you take out one country after another and then see what is left on the table for exploitation.
In my view, shop action is getting harder too.
Lastly, why are you limiting your potential target to Europe only?

Of course, Denmark is nowhere near a banana republic, but do you think a shop owner would allow a bettor to bet on behalf of other people, by simply displaying their Spil-ID?

I mean...this decision comes from government and not from betting companies so it should not be against smart bettors. Am I missing something?
Ah, btw, no secrets for italian shops, nowadays these are like big online accounts and smart bets are not so easy to be done (especially with big amounts).

For example, I do know Svenskaspel is available in Sweden. As far as I can see Tipico and Merkur is available in German, The UK bookmakers are easy to find information about and so on.
I am limitting it to Europe for a period of my life right now. I have a job besides betting and a lot of things in my private life that cannot be remote that I value higher than potiential more profits.
Re: Betting shops - Europe
Im not asking for anyone to reveal their edges, neither would I do myself. That's why I "only" ask for which bookmaker that is available in a country that offers offline betting and not about any markets/limits and so on. Maybe that is to much information to ask for, but it was intended not to be. You can find a lot of lists online, but it's harder with shop bettings, but not impossible to research either.arbusers wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 2:29 pmI find it very difficult that someone would reveal his edge that easy. Sure smart betters are gonna try to exploit ID offline as well as online. Shop owners do not know "who" places the bets, it's all automatically.
But it's gonna be impossible to places bets without an Spil-ID, even though the shops would prefer it without. They are gonna lose profits because of this, you guys probably know why.
Yes the goverment has implended this to fight, money laundering, match fixing, gambling addictions and to avoid under age peolpe to play.

Yes it's from the goverment and the intention is basically fine, but practically dumb. The goverment knows nothing about smart betting and do not care, as long the bookmakers who are operating in Denmark pays their bills/taxes and follow the rules.alealeale wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 4:21 pmI mean...this decision comes from government and not from betting companies so it should not be against smart bettors. Greece: Local monopoly called OPAP. Nothing to be made here, the party finished 5-6 years ago. Any serious bet will be referred to a trader. Some taxes may apply. Look elsewhere.

One problem with betting on other peoples Spil-ID is, that when you win to much they close the Spil-ID and auautomatically pays out the balance to the bank account to which the owner of the Spil-ID gets his salary paid.arbusers wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 3:44 pmLumberjack wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 6:53 amRelevant information
