Re: Betting shops - Europe
It seems that a mandatory ID check/membership cards are more and more frequent way to go in a lot of European countries.
Austria Vienna:
Cashpoint (I have seen in shop)
Admiral (I heard)
Mandatory with membership ID cards to play and therefor limiting winners.
Belgium:
By 1. December all betting shops will have to do a mandatory local ID check on its customer.
Germany:
X-tip: I spoke with a support worker which said it also was mandatory with an ID card.
Maybe someone locally with more information can confirm these?
Also, does anyone have any information regards:
Superbet shops: Limits, automatic system, need membership card/ID?
Svenskaspel:
Do they have any betting shops? Or is it only in normal kiosk/supermarkets you can play?

Another hard problem to try to fix...In the meantime, my bets wishes to these companies to lose also loser customers on slot/virtual and other games due to privacy violation.Lumberjack wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:31 amSure they do, but at the same time they limit winners, and why not for them? It took me around 2 bets with a member card to be “limited” or everything send to manual and denied.

Re: Betting shops - Europe
There are some shops that let you go in anonymously. However, theoretically, that is not legal (to my knowledge).Lumberjack wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 12:40 pmAre you sure about Germany or more specific Berlin?

There is some data provided by Spillemyndigheden counting the impact of the recent changes in the Danish market. Spending on betting at physical retailers de-creased by almost 50%. Pre October 2023 land based betting accounted for 17% of the total activity, now this number went down to almost 8% for October and November, media reports.

Lumberjack wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 6:53 amBy next month (October) it is by law mandatory to place your bets offline with Spil-ID which basically means that you cannot play anymore anywhere without showing your identity (so limits offline as well as online now)
I do not know how this is gonna effect tourist who wants to place sports bets. Casino is of course still posible without Spil-ID.
