Does anyone in here dabble in online currencies like Bitcoins?

I read they went from $100USD per coin up to $1000+ within the space of a few months. Can see the current value is around $920 (https://www.mtgox.com/)

Their value seems to fluctuate quite a bit though, just wondering if it's something that people recommend or is it too late / too risky to try to make money on these?
