EU Markets

Will Bunga Bunga Berlosconi's prison sentence upset things in Italy (third largest bond issuer by volume after US and Japan I believe) and send Europe into another Volatility storm?

Though it would be good to see that guy finally get put away now that fewer and fewer of his protectors from Propaganda Due and the Gladio Network are still around (let alone coherent).

No upset in Italy.
It seems that the system of Italy decided to follow Germany's demands with an ''interface'' of autonomy. The Germans probably accepted this. Sconi is a part of the system so he will not do anything to hung his country.

I'm Italian and I'm pretty sure nothing will happen... Sadly Berlusconi will continue to rule his political party and even if he will not be able to sit in the Parliament anymore (which is not yet decided) there are rumors that his daughter Marina might take his place. Moreover he will surely wont go to jail.
So, unfortunately, things haven't changed a lot.
