Sportmarket has recently begun offering FairExchange accounts for its customers. However, I noticed that I cannot access the FairExchange website from my country (I tried using different computers), but that I can access it when using a VPN located in a different country (in this case, I used Argentina). Before opening a FairExchange account with Sportmarket, I wanted to make sure about the legal aspects. Here is the answer I received from Sportmarket regarding the access and VPN situation:
"Using FairExchange is legal, the reason you can not access it is that some webpages are restricted via geo-restrictions;
This can be bypassed by using a VPN although the aspect of using the service is legal, as you are using our services as a broker."
Now, I always had an excellent experience with Sportmarket and I trust them, but this answer sounds a bit convoluted to me. I would not want to open an account with FairExchange and later be told that I cannot withdraw my money. So before opening an account, I would like to know if any other members had similar experiences with FairExchange (geo-restrictions and so on), and whether they had any problems when attempting to withdraw their funds. Thanks in advance.

Re: FairExchange - legal status and restricted countries
I have used Fair with other brokers, no sportmartkets, the concept remains the same with anyone who provides a Fair Exchange. As it is powered by Betfair, Fair and also Orbit are geo-blocked for some countries. However, this is not a significant issue as they can still be accessed through a VPN. Worried about withdrawal problems? No problem at all.
In my opinion, you shouldn't be concerned about the need for a VPN.

Re: FairExchange - legal status and restricted countries
Interestingly, I found out today that the liquidity on the PIWI247 exchange is 2.5 (horse racing) to 3 times (tennis) larger than on FairExchange (I was comparing the same markets at the same time). The odds were exactly the same for both exchanges. I did not compare markets in other sports.
I find this puzzling considering that FairExchange has the same liquidity and odds as Betfair. How can the liquidity be higher on PIWI?
