I remembered some initial lessons in the markets from previous years when a stronger team in the Caribbean Cricket Championship as pre-match favorites faced teams like the Leeward Islands or the Windward Islands… Those lessons help me a lot now.

Another unexpectedly chaotic performance from T@T, despite a late bowling acceleration against Jamaica. Narine, Hossein and Gabriel were fine, with E/R under 3.5 but there was poor sync between them and Hinds and Cariah.

Now it's time to rest.
The Kiwis vs India in a few hours, 2nd T20, rain permitting.

Good luck to everyone!

A few hours before the start of the Kiwis vs India clash.
They're goin' to open a new ODI series through their first ODI match.
I personally have some indications that both teams will be testing too many things, so my recommendation here is to stay out of the markets. Just enjoy their first ODI in Auckland. Eight hours of watching is enough to get a lot of impressions and tune up your model for the second ODI in Hamilton two days later.

And now some words in retrospective. After the semi-completed T20 series these days (the first game was abandoned due to rain, next game was won by India, followed by a Tie via the DLS method), I'm still wondering why the Kiwis were favored by the bookies. All Stats data and the generated outputs by the model prior to that Series weren't insisting on that. I haven't got much time these days to extensively backtest that T20 series, so I'd love to read your opinions about NZ vs IND T20.

The second ODI match in the series New Zealand vs India is goin' to start very soon.

Under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan and experimenting with the starting line-up as well as some tactical experiments for India, the recap of their appearance in the first ODI match in Oakland is as follows: In my view, there was a relatively good performance for the batsmen, considering those experiments. The main issue was the "Not-enough-wickets-taken" behavior from their bowling department two days ago.

I expect a slightly different Indian starting line-up (bowling department), looking to do some bowling experiments and improvements. I don't expect any major changes in the batting department for both sides, apart from Neesham or something like that.
I am aware that the pitch in Hamilton is prepared for high scores.

So, having in mind the aforementioned things and others things, once the teams' starting line-ups are announced, I'll be evaluating the most capable of hitting the 4s and 6s. For some reason, I don't accept the late reduced opening Pinny odds and my trading plan will wait for the best time to attack positions against their closing odds. The additional condition here is the appropriate Risk/Reward ratio, keeping in mind the tactical approach of the number one currently ranked ODI team, i.e. the Kiwis.

Enjoy the live air of the Aussie Fox Sports Cricket Channel. :)

I was wondering what your thoughts on Pritvi shaw were, why is that you think india are not backing him. In my opinion he is the greatest talent they currently have.

I know Shaw from Delhi Capitals in IPL performing well there. As far as I know, he is currently part of the batting dept, representing Mumbai in some domestic non-major tournaments, but I haven't watched him in any tournament recently, so I can't give an informed opinion. As for the Indian National team, I don't remember him appearing there for a year or so.
Your opinion is very interesting. I mean their contemporary National team, changing captains one after the other and different line-ups in every international match, constantly trying different experimental things. WC 2023 (ODI format) is coming up, and India will be the host. Maybe Prithvi Shaw will become part of the National team?
Your opinion if you regularly watch that player on TV?

They were backing him at the beginning but then he had a bad test seires in Australia after that they have not picked him since which is pretty sad. People forget it took Sachin 87 innings to reach his first hundred.

I didn't know that. You probably have in mind Tendulkar, have you?
I recently watched some streams of the 2022 Road Safety World Series T20 Tournament. This player was perfect against England, even at that age! The most interesting thing was some betting markets somewhere in Asia. I didn't participate in these markets, only watched some streams. I couldn't build some positions regarding veteran teams, I didn't have enough information plus risk management decisions.

By the way, have you watched the current Indian domestic non-major tournaments? What is the current form of Prithvi Shaw?

Congratulations on that! I wish you a much higher level of practice in this wonderful sport! :)

One of my dreams is to one day play this Masterpiece with friends… I want to visit the atmosphere of the IPL derbies, hosted at Wankhede, Eden Gardens, The Chepauk... To visit the local Caribbean derbies... I would like to see live matches like that in Lauderhill, Florida 2016, when T20 West Indies vs India finished 245:244, almost ODI result... Evin Lewis scored 100 runs, MS Dhoni was the gold Captain/Wicketkeeper, and when all bowling masters like Narine, Jadeja, Bumrah, Kumar, Russell and so on, achieved poor results above 10 E/R...

Currently, I reside in Europe, and almost no one here knows this sport. I visited most of the local sports stores around to buy a Bat and a Helmet (like the ones used by Universe Boss or MS Dhoni) and Wicket Keeper gloves (like the ones used by MS Dhoni) and the sellers didn't understand what I wanted at all.

Several teams run by enthusiasts for the sport exist here.
The local cricket "federation" is a completely absurd, money laundering organization. This "federation" fired some Indian and Pakistanis coaches, who teach this sport here.

I discovered this wonderful sport by accident. I spotted the incredible volumes on the exchange. It was not an easy job for me to understand the logic and beauty of this Masterpiece. Unfortunately, I don't practice it. No one here knows the Cricket. So many sleepless nights for me, watching amazing performances around the World…

Your dedication and insight it remarkable. It seems that your work has become a passion. If you are ever in london you can actually book a net at lords with an ex pro. I am sure this would be something that you would enjoy.

The third ODI match in the series The KIWIS vs India is in progress.

From what was seen in Hamilton, 2nd ODI days ago:
I think a Run Rate of close to 7 for India was perhaps a little below optimum here at such a high-scoring pitch vs that opponent. Given that in the almost 13 Overs played, they only lost Dhawan, the probability of some percentage of batting acceleration was expected from the 14th to 29th Overs. I would expect later this match if Shreyas Iyer comes on the field shortly after the 13th Overs to lift the Indian R/R by a minimum of 30 percent in case of his possible partnership with Shubman Gill prior to his potential dismissal, and by a minimum of 10 percent in case of his possible partnership with another batsman during the next Overs to the 29th.

But as it was subsequently declared No Result, I was unable to review my model at Seddon Park.

So, today the same unchanged Indian line-up started their batting portion of the game (3rd ODI), my plan will require some initial impressions on their Hagley Oval behavior and quick processing of the initial Stats will decide some potential market entries/exits.

The possible set of gaming plans today for the Indian Bowling Dept is a complete mystery to me at that moment.
Note that NZ will bat second on the wet pitch. So the Kiwis' Powerplay stage in their batting part of the game can shape some probabilities.

Love at second sight actually.
When I watched my first cricket match and later read "The Laws of Cricket" by the Marylebone Cricket Club, I felt like a cat trying to understand the procedures at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral and the Baikonur Cosmodrome. But very soon I spotted the hidden value in that wonderful game! :)

Thanks for your idea about the possibility of booking a practice with an ex-pro at Lord's. Someday that will be on my to-do list.
Maybe Sam Curran or Tymal Mills will teach me about bowling, and Jos Buttler about batting.

I know even Harry Kane (Tottenham & London Spirit) plays sometimes at Lord's.

From now on, the only hypothetical chance for India is to take the risk and with only three wickets in hand, switch to T20 mode and aim for over 5 R/R at all costs.
Will the bad experiments continue later in their bowling portion?
I see some arguments for an additional market position somewhere between these two points.
