Re: Introduce your self here
What info would be needed, age, country, profit from arbing? I wouldn't provide any personal info as I think bookies have this forum on their radar.

I'm a football fan and my team has qualified yesterday for the group stage of the Champions League. 8)
Against the odds I would say.

Re: Introduce your self here
Im an arber and currently living in Lebanon. Been arbing for a good number of years now. Arbing/football trading on bf are my main sources of income. Not married and wont anytime soon till I get that dream house haha! Ive been a strong supporter of Chelsea since my early days and Im equally a Real Madrid fan when were talking La Liga.. And I will fully support a team if there will ever be one if its called Mourinho F.C lol... One can survive with 700 too 800usd if he's got no one to take care of. Political situation is now crap here in Lebanon and Its now a no go for the meantime if anyone is thinking of moving here.. I go to the UK from time to time to refresh "my arbing life" if you know what I mean... I know less than 10 ex-arbers living in Lebanon and I doubt theres anyone amongst us who lives in Lebanon either...
One More thing: Arbusers as a community is one of the best things that ever happened to arbing and we all owe you a gratitude to everything you have provided to this community. A huge thankss

I'm American, former Arber (too much trouble here in the states now) and in my 30's though I feel older. Too much mileage.
Re: Introduce your self here
Was it ever good? A friend of mine's uncle landed there with the marines in '58. And one old boy I know was professor of agriculture at AUB in the 70's and 80's up until the Battleship New Jersey pulled up along the coast and started lobbing shells "the size of Volkswagens". Though he would always say it wasn't that bad... having earlier held posts in Khartoum and Kano, Nigeria and made trips into the Congo.bluedragon wrote: Political situation is now crap here in Lebanon and Its now a no go for the meantime if anyone is thinking of moving here..

Also heard that the last two winters some of the more disreputable shipbrokers in Piraeus have made a killing sourcing shipments of heating oil for delivery at Latakia or Tartus. Most people don't realize that it does get cold there.
Re: Introduce your self here
I imagine there has got to be a good amount of arbitrage going on along the Lebanese-Syrian border. A while back I heard that certain types of ammunition were going for $7+ a round... not like Libya or Afghanistan with all those dumb fuckers way out of range shooting in the air wasting it all.bluedragon wrote: Ive got family there and what I can tell you is that they are living in constant fear.. rocket attacks from wont name who are a norm and no one knows when his turn comes.. If you know what your doing you could get it for much less than that and sometimes for free. It depends on who you areLansky wrote:I imagine there has got to be a good amount of arbitrage going on along the Lebanese-Syrian border. Introduction
New to this forum. Thought I'd introduce myself.
I discovered online sports betting arbitrage in 2004. I made about $20K at it as a hobby until early 2007 when most of the good books (and all of the exchanges) bailed on my market. For a while I had a friend on the north side of the border who would open accounts for me, and I would use anonimizer to work the books. That lasted about a year, then the books started not allowing anonimizer. I pulled nearly all of my money in 2009 when I took a job in Africa. I am back in the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave again.
I used to run a website (bullsbetting . com)(now closed) and back in the spring I decided to check all my old affiliate accounts. There was $1100 bucks spread over 3 sportsbooks. I scalped it all into one book and it gave me a taste for the arb game again. After taking 4 years off I even had a few bonus offers.
So, I am chasing a bonus and manually searching out arb opportunities in the evenings. It's not serious money, but it amuses me. I was reading here and thought I'd join. Seems like the arb issues that I was facing in 2005 are the same issues arbers are facing today. Of course my issues are compounded by the effed up puritanical laws here, but I will overcome!
Highlights from my Arb career:
-Las Palmas closed my account after 4 bets - all losers. I always wondered about that.
-My biggest gaff was betting a whole game vs a first half in college hoops. That cost me $2,000. Youch!
-Just a few months ago I whined to the support staff at Sports Interaction and they removed the betting limits they but on me in 2006.

Re: Introduce your self here
Hi, i am new to the forum and to arbing.
For the past 4 years my sole source of income was online poker. 3 weeks ago i became interested in sports betting for no reason (i'm no sports fan) and after exploring the possibilites, arbing seemed the way to go. So after reading much of this wonderful forum i started arbing about a week ago and things are going great so far, much better than i first imagined.
