There are strong rumours in the Greek market that Parimatch will start operating in the country starting from January 2023. A quick search reveals that Parimatch already operates legally in Cyprus. I know it belongs to Russians (or Ukrainians). 2 more companies are expected to start in Greece. One is efBet and the other is rumoured to be 1xbet.
What is your opinion about Parimatch? Do you think we can make money from them?

Re: Parimatch Greece
I believe they are Ukrainians and not Russians. I know they had exposure in Russia and have no clue about what happened with their shops there. I read they are very fast in limiting accounts after 2-3 bets and they are good at detecting bots. However, all bookmakers when they enter a new market they show a friendly face. There might be a window of opportunity, but have no doubt they will be harsh later on.

Re: Parimatch Greece
I remember an old poster of the forum who used their shops in Ukraine to become rich. I don't think this is possible now. Somehow I do not consider Ukrainian business as 100% clean to say the least.

Re: Parimatch Greece
I am from Russia, so I know well the entire Russian bookmaker market. Paribet is Parimatch, which appeared this year after the start of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, to work in Russia, since Parimatch is a Ukrainian company and in Russia they could not continue to work, so they created a subsidiary Paribet. This is a terrible bookmaker that thinks that if you make smart bets, you will definitely multi-account and confiscate all your money immediately, as well as its parent company Parimatch

Re: Parimatch Greece
Thank you @Aleksander for providing the info.
I am always reluctant to trust any bookmaker with dubious ownership and complex schemes for subsidiaries. This is no exception here.
At the same time the Greek market is considered a golden goose and we have seen a lot of bookmakers stomaching many things including loses, just to establish themselves and their reputation in this market.
I believe the ''come first served first'' will be in this case too.

Re: Parimatch Greece
I have a theory that I can not prove with solid proofs. It is just a theory.
I believe that all bookmakers operating in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, etc, belong to the same people. They simply change their face from one country to another but they are the same people. And of course, I never believed these articles showing the guys from the gyms of Moscow being the real owners of 1xbet, Parimatch, Megapari etc. It must be someone far higher in the hierarchy, because that is the way business are done there.
I m taking my idea one step further. Even in some countries that now belong to the western sphere of influence (Baltic states, Poland, Slovakia) there must be a big stake belonging to these people.

Re: Parimatch Greece
One of the withdrawl options given on Parimatch is a "Donate to Ukraine" option.
So, I doubt Russians are behind this bookie. Looks extremely obvious that it's owned by Ukrainians.

Your argument is not strong. 1XBET, a well known Russian bookmaker is buying Ukrainian military bonds in order to acquire a Ukrainian license.

Also, I'd say purchasing military bonds to acquire a Ukrainian license is a business opportunity for a Bookie. It's not charity the way Parimatch is doing by allowing donations.
Re: Parimatch Greece
Obviously it's not a strong argument. Nationality between Russia & Ukraine barely matters atleast among the guys who are behind these bookies.arbusers wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 7:10 pm
