We are pleased to announce the release of Pinnacle Odds Dropper v0.70, an update that brings significant enhancements. Below, we provide an overview of the primary addition and bug fixes included in this release.

Introduction of "No Vig Price" (NVP) :
In response to numerous requests, we have incorporated a highly anticipated feature called "No Vig Price" (NVP) in this update. NVP is displayed in the events table on our platform, revealing odds with Pinnacle's vigorish (margin) subtracted. This feature provides users with a clear view of the odds that all bettors should aim to surpass when placing bets elsewhere, offering valuable insights for more informed betting decisions.



Understanding Pinnacle's Vigorish:
Before delving into the NVP feature, it is essential to understand Pinnacle's vigorish, or margin, which represents the bookmaker's built-in advantage in the odds they offer. Pinnacle is renowned for its low vig, setting a benchmark for fair odds in the industry. Even though they have industry low vig you still need to remove it to get to a closer prediction of fair odds.

Calculation of NVP:
NVP is calculated by subtracting Pinnacle's vig from the displayed odds. The assumption is that the vig is evenly distributed across the market, and adjustments are made accordingly. We are aware that there are various ways one can calculate the distribution of vig across a market, for instance the proportional method so we do intend to add the ability to choose how the distribution of vig is calculated in the future.

Bug Fixes:

a. Fix for 'Spreads 0 Graph' in Sidekick :

Issue: Displaying the moneyline graph erroneously.
Fix: We have corrected this to ensure an accurate representation of the data.

b. Competition Filter Enhancement :

Issue: A minor bug affecting the competition filter, excluding all competitions if a trailing comma was left after the list.
Fix: We have addressed this issue, ensuring that the competition filter functions seamlessly without unintended exclusions.

Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted but I'm excited to share the latest update to our platform with the Arbusers community.
Version 0.929 has just been released, bringing the ability to choose from four different techniques when devigging Pinnacle's sharp betting lines:



Additive Method:
Divides vigorish equally across outcomes
Accounts for longshot overbetting, but can create negative probabilities

Multiplicative Method:
Spreads vigorish proportionally based on each outcome's probability
Simple calculation, but may not reflect real betting patterns

Power Method (New Default):
Raises probabilities to a power value to adjust for biases
Ensures devigged probabilities stay within 0-1 range
Our recommended and default approach

Shin Method:
Iterative algorithm to specifically correct favorite-longshot bias
Offers improved accuracy, same as Additive for 2-way markets

With the ability to configure the devigging approach right in the top toolbar, users can implement the method best-suited to their strategy and previous results.

The Power method is now the default selection. We advise most users start there, as it accounts for the tendency to overbet underdogs compared to favorites.

Proper devigging of Pinnacle's razor-sharp lines is KEY for revealing the true market pricing and finding +EV opportunities against the soft books.
