Value betting

this is not obvious arbitrage but has anyone some positive experience with value betting? I noticed MX has some thread on this.
I came accross this site http://en.surebet.com/valuebets and I would like to test following strategy. Take odds lower than 3 (to smooth the curve) and value around 5%. Not sure what bookies to take. Soft bookies should provide more value if I get it correctly. Stakes around
30 Eur.

Value betting is part of arbitrage, where you sell value for locked in profit. It can be done, but swings can be problem. Especially if you look value in long odds. It needs discipline. Sometimes it is hard to determine where value is, too.
But my accounts at smarkets, BF and Pinn are in deep red. Meaning value generaly isnt at those places. And this is common to all arbers I guess.
But bookies dont like that, because again, youre taking only their best odds, so they will probably treat you as you are arbing.
Look for sharpbets service on this forum. Theres thread about it.

Value betting is not part of arbitrage. There is always "value" in at least one of the possible outcomes when there is an arbitrage but good opportunities may exist even when there isn't one. I agree with everything else said.
