I leave trading on the exchanges for you
I have absolutely no interest in it
As I have absolutely no interest in value betting for example, as I mentioned in the 1st post
You know what my preference is and where I'm good at

Try to think like this: in the gambling industry there are x doors. At any point there can be a maximum of x open doors and a minimum of one door. If right now door 1 is open and it will be closed, this will open door n. Even though this might sound like an arb12 post, I hope it will bring a new perspective to some. GL

...

An excellent suggestion from the user Sandica9 for those considering changing the way they do business.
Also, before putting some new hypotheses into practice, allow yourself careful and stress-free test games for a long time, similar to Forex demo trading, shaping your ideas and projects before goin' in with the sharks.

thats why I am saying you need to focus on trading on the Exchanges - horses, football, tennis etc... most of you are smart enough to make it work

Slightly addendum to your excellent posting if I may. Let me mention:
- High-quality Basketball - the NBA is very suitable especially for trading, and countries like the Philippines, Greece and Spain for other techniques, such as placing value market positions.
- The most liquid sport on the exchanges is Cricket. Even if you don't know the rules at all, you can simply follow cold trading and price action techniques, adopted by you according to the specifics of cricket. This year I've seen several games with over 150 million turnover and many games with around 100 million. When India, Australia, England, Pakistan, West Indies, South Africa and so forth participate in Internationals, and their local teams participate in domestic T20 (such as the IPL) and ODI, even Test matches, extremely low margins are applied and you can achieve a turnover of many times your capital within a single game.
Now imagine the market advantages for you if you're diggin' into the rules and the spirit of that game. :)

Exactly. There are numerous possibilities on the Exchange, but you need to put in the work. Its not rocket science but its harder than just backing higher odds with a soft bookie and laying it on BetFair. I know this forum's main focus is arbitrage betting, but trading is the best method for the future if you want to stay in this business. Especially if you live in a country where you have access to the real site Betfair and not using brokers/agents... that way you can take advantage of genius software like BetAngel, GeeksToy, and many others.

I wouldnt share my monthly revenue with anyone outside my family. I am trading football markets, this is my specialty. Mostly pre-match because after almost 10 years in this business I know how to read the market movement and most importantly I can spot a wrong price. I am not smarter than anybody else here, its just experience and work, nothing more. I believe everyone can do it. Its like any other job to be honest. You probably wont get rich, but you can make more than enough and be your own boss, and thats enough for me. The Internet is full of scammers but there are few legit people out there like Peter Webb from BetAngel. His videos will open your eyes on many things when it comes to betting/trading. Also if you dont know where to start, you can try "FTS Income" they have some interesting systems too. twitter.com/FTSIncome , ftsincome.co.uk The guy behind it is called Ian, he also has a podcast. I hope someone finds this helpful.

it's good you keep mentioning betangel (4 times?), the internet is flooded with these types of salesman selling their trading strategies/softwares......because they know the real money is gone! i guess they must suck enough people in to make it worthwhile......

i prefer the guy who tells us how his house is worth 10 million before a swim and to his trading den for 7am to make 100k trading currencies, he really is a genius 8) ;D

I mention all the softwares - BetAngel, GeeksToy, there is also Gruss, FairBot, and others. I am simply sharing what I believe to be a useful information. I am not selling anything. I dont even use them because I dont have access to the real Betfair anymore and I have no choice but to use agents/brokers... I can only hope one day they make it possible to use these software on Orbit, Piwi and the other exchanges. I guess I should keep quiet from now on, sorry to bother you with my posts.

This is a freaking great thread and there are several posts that I would like to comment on. On the flip side, you guys touched so many different things that maybe I will derail everything.

That's primarily because of my country (Where it's very explicit in their terms and conditions), among other things (One of them being the protection of the bookies against smart bettors)

Mentioning your country might help a lot. Maybe there are chances in your country that you never imagined before. And BTW, why to reject value betting that easy?

my info shows no significant changes in the liquidity on betfair for football (I dont know about horses), so the exchanges are not dead, especially Betfair. Actually I am surprised by the liquidity for some South American leagues and a lot of MLS games too. European leagues always have more than enough liquidity for any strategy to work. You must be a really big player if the exchanges cant handle your bets

I recall some CL games 10 years ago with volumes of 120.000.000 euros. Now these volumes are down to 4-5 Mn, but again, as you say this is more than enough to float and hide whenever needed.

yeah, this new season will probably be my last. I really don't see the point of investing so much effort and time for so little money that I can easily earn otherwise.

It all comes down to a simple calculation. How much money do you earn per hour is activity A, and how much in activity B. Then the decision is easy. However, I believe it is not wise to close a door that easy. Let me remind the old saying of the Jews of my home town: ''Keep the faucet open, and one day water will run''.
