Good afternoon to everybody
Some of you might know me, I'm a longtime member here on the forum
I've been doing my operations in my corner and making a living from it
This is has always been my passion and modesty aside I am quite good at what I do
Every day I study and I fucking enjoy it
Lately I've noticed that the profits I'm making are significantly lower than a few years ago
Today, bookmakers are more aware of the mistakes they make
The number of surebets and the % of them is getting smaller year after year
The maximum stakes we can bet on are an authentic joke, often not reaching 100€ (In the main bookies)
I'm getting limited in a matter of hours, not even in 1 day...
The lines are changing extremely fast in live (My speciality)
The regulations too.... They kill almost everything they touch
What the fuck is going on?
And I'm only talking about arbing
Not that valuebetting shit
I used to make more than 10,000€ a month, and today I make 1000/2000€ and I have to work twice as much
Apart from the headaches I've been having with so much implication from the "reputable" bookmakers
Our industry is dying and in 5/10 years from now it will no longer be possible to make a living from this
This makes me sad and angry

You are not understanding
After creating an account, the max. stake available for me to bet is 100€ (In almost all bookies)
That's primarily because of my country (Where it's very explicit in their terms and conditions), among other things (One of them being the protection of the bookies against smart bettors)

Adapt. Not much to do I guess. Im in a businnes since 10 yrs and even cosidering crap circumstances since few years I make more recently than before. But nothing's for free, I worked extremely hard days and nights to find loopholes how to deal with bookmakers and their obstacles. Its gonna be tough for sure and the smartest guys out there will float only.

Bookies are getting better and better at monitoring Pinnacle odds and like you said every next year they will get even better at it. Prematch arbing is pretty much dead. Now live arbing is starting to die too. Why don't you try value betting? It might still be around for some time. However, be warned, a lot of people I know who tried value betting actually lost money, so it is not that simple and definitely not for everyone.

we are undoubtedly in a shitty phase, I have seen a lot of them over the years, I had yet to see this one of the exchanges, as always if you are a true chameleon you will still be able to find your niche of advantage

Re: What the f*ck is going on?
Unfortunately, the situation is exactly like this.. However, there are still opportunities and ways to make money from gambling. In my case, what holds true is that some companies that I could win from in the past are now about 80% more difficult. Some others still remain equally easy; however, they demand unrealistic things when you request withdrawals.
There's another category of companies that I can win from but cannot play from my country as I used to in the past.
Something that hasn't been mentioned is that digital wallets are now particularly hostile towards professionals, resulting in them seeking new ways to fund their betting accounts, either through banks or through crypto exchanges.
I'm already trying to invest the money I've earned from gambling in other areas, as being a professional gambler is constantly hanging by a thread that time wears away.

Re: What the f*ck is going on?
my info shows no significant changes in the liquidity on betfair for football (I dont know about horses), so the exchanges are not dead, especially Betfair. Actually I am surprised by the liquidity for some South American leagues and a lot of MLS games too. European leagues always have more than enough liquidity for any strategy to work. You must be a really big player if the exchanges cant handle your bets

Its not about most popular leagues but minor ones. You need to be VERY sharp to profit from mainstream leagues. Other leagues? Pre-ko few thousands euro at most which is really crap. Few years back was much, much more.

Re: What the f*ck is going on?
I think the problem is yet another, brokers are no longer as safe as they used to be in partnering with exchanges, in particular on certain markets, also because, as Arbuser pointed out in another post, most of the smart guys have left the job....

Re: What the f*ck is going on?
in the end, being negative wont take us anywhere... we need to find solutions and keep playing the game - if you want to, of course. If you want to make money trading/betting you need to look for opportunities, not problems. It's really that simple.

Re: What the f*ck is going on?
yeah, this new season will probably be my last. I really don't see the point of investing so much effort and time for so little money that I can easily earn otherwise.
