The guy was able to stay calm and confront the police in a perfect manner. I m sure the policeman and the policewoman were surprised. Obviously the guy is not someone random if you know what I mean. Pure class.
This video has more than a million views within 5 days and I m sure it will go even higher. Caan will make money from it. But it reveals the stupidity of WilliamHill. They will lose millions and millions they will now have to pay for ads, lawyers and their PR people. They could get away with it by paying the 12.5K and having the girls happily take their drink to the local pub with these 110 tip.
Stupidity, egoism and greed never stop surprising me.

What kind of bettor enters a betting shop with a camera in his hand? The victim, and of course I call him a victim was superficially pretentious. Other than that, this is not a problem of WilliamHill but a problem of the country as a whole.
Is there any penalty for the abuse of false allegations? Probably not. The police should be issuing heavy fines to companies and individuals who abuse the 999 emergency system. In this case it should be the shop owner, and if proved that WH gave guidelines, then WilliamHill should be fined too.
What a shame.

Bullshit it is. If you experienced bad treatment from bookmakers you will try to defend yourseld recording anytning which may be useful in the future. Dumb statement from you for sure. Im in a business for double didgit years and considering my experience I know that I have to make a screenshot from every conversation with customer service online cause these fuckers like to lie and they like to put in your mouth statements which didnt take place you if you did not record you are fucked. Every wise bettor record anything which may be useful for him these days. Seriously you must be trolling or born yesterday, you just need to record anything especially if its worth 12k. Anyone with a tiny experience will expect soft bookie doing anything they can to avoid paying out, not because you did anything wrong but just because you took +EV bet and they dont like it. Shame on you taking bookie side not even asking for circumstances.

Totally agree, bookmakers try everything to not pay big sums of money, even amounts like under 5k.Grant wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:22 pmBullshit it is. Nobody took WilliamHill's side. I think some of you guys didn't understand what I said, and what Blackjack replied.
In the UK making false allegations is not a punishable offence unless it is proved to create what is called reputational damage. You can call the cops make any false allegations you can imagine put any person you wish through iron and hammer, and even if your allegations are proven false you will pay no penalty. Various groups of people are taking advantage of this, let's add WilliamHill shops to the long list.
This doesn't help the sense of justice and trust in the justice system, the police and the law in general. It causes a lot of stress to the victims and helps people who constantly abuse things. Not to speak about the waste of public resources and money.

As far as I understand, betting shops in the UK don't hold that kind of cash on their counters. They would be robbed on a daily basis. Already, these betting shops are a primary target for many criminals, addicts etc. The shop owner could hand an amount to the player, and then instruct him to go to the nearest shop that could hand him cash too.
In addition, bookmakers make huge money these days from interest rates. I m sure they deposit the cash they receive even for an overnight interest.

This is correct. Often you can't even pick up less than 1k for a city centre Whill branch without them asking you to wait and come back in an hour.arbusers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 2:36 pmAs far as I understand, betting shops in the UK don't hold that kind of cash on their counters.
