Several bookies are ditching German clients. Hopefully not a big problem. Does anyone else have infos?

New law since 01.07. Paddy Power and 188bet don´t accept german customers anymore. Cashpoint, Tipico and some smaller books started to demand a 5% tax on every bet.

Getting more difficult for German arbers. Lets hope that the majority of the bookmakers will stay.

Yes 5% is only for german customers. I don´t know if the list is full but I know of Cashpoint and Tipico, Primebet, Happybet, Wettenleip who charge 5%.

Additionally the law only allows a stake of max 1000€ per month but I don´t know if this is per bookie or alltogether. Anyway if european court will not nullify the law, arbing is dead for german people except in Schleswig-Holstein if they stay with their own law.

I will move to Austria.

I m watching very closely all the decisions made by the EU. Those last years, the EU became more friendly to state monopolies and intervention. Before 2010, almost all decisions were for the bookmakers and against state monopolies. Now, it seems that the need for cash and taxes is so vivid, that they forget their previous attitude.
I m not optimistic about the future of gambling in Europe, but i suppose that there is still some time to make money.
Of course, every country is a unique case.
UK arbers and smart players will not be affected anytime soon, unless David becomes more aggressive against bookmakers.
Italian arbers are very much happy with the state's intervention, since new arbable bookmakers appeared in the market.
Austrians are so lucky to have a gambling friendly government, plus a 0% tax on winnings. Austria is the last paradise in Europe.
Greeks, not only have to face the stupidity of their government, but they also have to face the possibility of getting out of the Euro-Area.
Other markets became very aggressive against players. France, Cyprus to mention some.

Maybe some Eastern countries. Bulgaria, Croatia (coming to EU), Slovakia.

You guys think others will follow soon? Betfair, Pinnacle, Betathome?

Pinn and BF have no interest to implement extra tax. BAH is more EU faced bookies. If there is united EU law that implement taxes in all EU, than we can have some more problems, but IMO this is not very probable scenario.

Some could (already did) leave the German market!

At least for Pinnacle I would suggest my Agent's accounts for GERMAN customers
